After our Keith’s tour we spent the day walking around Halifax; specifically around historic sights. I took many photos that may have been questionable to the common tourist as I fell in love with the brick walls,
and signs on the historic properties.
We had lunch right on the water; at Salty’s. What was really great about this place was the fact that there were not a lot of tourists filling the patio. It was peaceful and yet we had one of the best views of the harbour. Where was everyone?! The food was excellent and the visitors were kind; as in the birds sat quietly and watched us, hopeful in wait.
The begging birds reminded me of my pug and how much I missed him.
I digress.
Later that night we had dinner at another place along the pier, the Waterfront Warehouse. They had a great selection of oysters. I thoroughly enjoyed the scallops. We were able to sit out on the patio and ended up hanging around for a few hours. The food, music, and view were amazing!
Again, prepare yourself for another unorthodox view of the restaurant:
Our first day in Halifax was great and it will be a day we will always cherish.
